The members of the Inter-Livery of London compete in a pancake-flipping race to celebrate pancake day.
Members of the Livery companies of London competed in a pancake-flipping race at Guildhall Yard to win the coveted Golden Frying pan.
That’s right, it’s pancake day which means only one thing, pancake races.
Here in London, some of the most impressive racers lined up in their full regalia at Guildhall Yard for the chance to win a Golden Frying pan.
The Inter-Livery Pancake Race takes place annually on Shrove Tuesday, 25 February, and competitors include with Mansion House, Guildhall, the Old Bailey and the City Livery Company of Poulters.

Organised by the Poulters (egg suppliers) the event employs the skills of a variety of liveries.
Clockmakers time it, gunmakers fire the starting pistol, glovers provide the white gloves worn by racers, the fruiterers provide lemons and the cutlers provide the forks!
The event took place from 10.30am-2pm at Guildhall Yard.
